Teresa A. Vazquez is an Associate Attorney at the firms Coral Gables office, where she focuses her practice on representing architects, engineers, contractors, and developers in construction and design disputes. As a key member of the defense team for one of South Florida's top general contractors, Teresa worked on multiple construction defect cases involving high-end South Florida condominiums, handling complex commercial litigation and arguing motions in state court, including in the Complex Business Litigation Division. She has also defended licensed professionals in complex professional malpractice matters, where she managed cases, developed litigation strategy, handled client relations, and conducted and defended depositions of fact witnesses, testifying experts, and corporate representatives.

Teresa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English from the University of Miami. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.

Prior to working at DRC, Teresa handled a wide range of civil and criminal matters, including business disputes, probate, partition actions, family law, domestic violence, and criminal defense cases. Her litigation experience also spans bad-faith insurance, breach of contract, and complex bankruptcy cases in both state and federal court, as well as complex litigation and class action matters. On the transactional side, Teresa served as in-house counsel to a marketing company, where she drafted and negotiated contracts with vendors and artists and advised management on business relationships, company procedures, and legal risk. She also represented unaccompanied minors in state and immigration court through Catholic Legal Services. Earlier in her career, Teresa served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Alan S. Gold of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Teresa is admitted to The Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and she is fluent in Spanish.
