Sergio Sotolongo, was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  He earned his B.A. from Florida International University, and later his Juris Doctrate, cum laude, from Florida International as well.

Prior to attending law school, he worked as a licensed general contractor managing a wide range of construction projects from the initial design phase through completion of the project.  His field experience allows him to better understand the facts and intricacies that make each case unique.

Working out of our Coral Gables office, Mr. Sotolongo focuses on construction litigation and claims against design professionals such as engineers and architects.  His case load includes complex litigation cases dealing with dozens of parties. Mr. Sotolongo has spent his entire career as an attorney practicing in civil and commercial litigation.  Prior to construction litigation, he defended homeowners and mitigation companies in first-party property claims, as well as cases dealing with a broad range of business disputes.
