Mercy B. Pina-Brito was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in 1992 and her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Law School in 1998. Ms. Pina-Brito represents clients across a range of industries, with a focus on construction, condominium, and real property law. She is a member of The Florida Bar, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In addition to her Florida Bar licensure, Ms. Pina-Brito is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.

Before joining DRC, Ms. Pina-Brito practiced throughout Southern Florida, representing property owners, contractors, real estate professionals, and community associations in a broad range of legal disputes. She has also represented a number of contractors before the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DPBR) with regard to licensing disputes and other enforcement actions.

Ms. Pina-Brito is actively involved in her community and supports various civic and charitable organizations. She is committed to environmental protection and animal rights and is actively involved in organizations such as the Rotary Club of Brickell, which serves the community through initiatives including feeding the homeless, cleaning debris from Biscayne Bay, and supporting other civic programs.
